In reality, many men are scared that shortly after their marriage to their Russian bride, they would be mobbed with administrative chores, and hassles with the Visa. Although there is a certain level of paperwork involved, it is relatively painless compared to what people believe it to be.

Many years later, when you look back on your Russian wedding, you will only recall the exciting wedding day and all the celebrations rather than the hassles you had to deal with later. The hardest part, although, will be the answers you will have to give your concerned family and friends who might insinuate that your Russian bride is only using you to gain citizenship in another country. But you should stay firm on your decision and not get carried away.

There is no query about your marriage with a Russian Woman. Maybe you could have spotted her while holidaying or maybe website that glorifies the dating procedure, but either way, the end point is that you are blissfully in love with her, and have decided to marry her. This feeling of being in love is too great to worry about the little paper work that you have to do.

First you should understand what the "Fiancee Visa" is, also called the K-1. This document allows your sweetheart to stay in the United States for a limited time period, during which the marriage should occur. Usually it is for 3 months, which is enough time for you to get to know here, and make the big step.

This paper is a non-immigrant Visa, and will allow your fiancee to stay with you, but as soon as you legalize your relationship, then you will be required to prove that you live together and are a functional family. In order for you to have the initial K-1 Visa, you, as the future husband, is expected to submit a Petition for Alien Fiancee, from I-129F.

This petition is necessary to bring your betrothed, and her children if any, to the United States for wedding. You have to fill in the forms K-3 for your forthcoming mate, and the K-4 forms are to be filled for her children if any. If you hold these Visas, then you can succeed in getting a permanent citizenship in the United States. Never be afraid that your new spouse and her children cannot adapt to the life in the United States as they can get employment there if they have forms K-3 and K-4 after obtaining the Employment Authorization Document.

This may sound complicated, but, in reality, it is very simple. All that you need to do is, fill in all the necessary documents as per the guidelines given. You can take the help of certain agencies which specialize in this field. There are special attorneys too who will look after your paper work and give you updates from time to time.

Naturally, it will cost you a little bit, but it saves you a lot of time when it comes to dealing with the paperwork. Additionally, most of these agencies and attorneys have websites where you can see your progress with the visas.

You should enjoy your marriage, and let others deal with the formalities.
