Not only do anxiety disorders affect the mind it also will result in physical symptoms. Physical problems related to anxiety disorders include but are not limited to headaches, stomach problems, and an increase in heart rate.
We are all programmed with natural instincts to fear and stress. It is common called a “fight or flight” response. When a person has a disorder like anxiety the body is constantly being bombarded with the response. The general result of a high amount of anxiety is your immune system can become suppressed. You then have an increased chance of sickness, disease, or infection due to on going immune system suppression.
Similar symptoms not only occur with anxiety but with panic attacks and many phobias. These emotional symptoms can become unmanageable when they progress beyond a normal reaction to the everyday normal stressors.
What can lead to even more stress for a sufferer of panic and anxiety disorders is the anticipation of when and where the next attack will occur. This leads to a never-ending cycle of added stress and worry.
The treatment courses available for anxiety disorders vary. You can use alternative methods like supplements and aromatherapy. The mainstream treatments include therapy and medications.
If you feel you maybe suffering from an anxiety disorder seek a medical professional sooner, rather than later. They will be able to properly diagnose you and get you on a treatment plan that will work for you. Since everyone will respond differently to the different methods you made need one or more of the treatment methods available.
The longer left untreated the more serious the disorder may become. Getting diagnosed early will help you to find the source of the problems and get you on an effective treatment plan.
